CHROMATOGRAPHY

We have extensive experience with the development and validation of quantitative chromatographic methods of both simple and complex mixtures for samples ranging from 99+% pure fine chemicals to trace (ppb) level toxicants in human clinical samples.

Gas Chromatography (GC)

Gas Chromatography (GC) is the ideal separation technique for mixtures of volatile compounds and a competitive technique for the separation of semi-volatile compounds. Sample introduction techniques we have expertise with include:

  • Liquid injection,

  • Headspace sampling, and

  • Solid Phase MicroExtraction (SPME).

Liquid Chromatography

Liquid Chromatography (UPLC, HPLC or just LC) is the preeminent separation technique for the separation of ionic or polar compounds and for many samples competes with GC for the most efficient separation technique.  Our LC experience is with polar molecules using both reversed phase (RP) and hydrophobic interaction (HILIC) techniques.

Resolution Sciences Services

Resolution Sciences LLC can provide consulting services for method development and validation of either GC or LC separations.  We can also provide customized training in these separation techniques employing a broad spectrum of detectors. The primary application of chromatographic separation is quantitative analysis.  With more than 35 years’ experience performing quantitative analysis we can share that experience and expertise to help you get the right answer.
